If you change oil or antifreeze in your engine yourself, please note that different types of used oil and antifreeze must be collected in separate containers. It is prohibited to pour used motor oil into sewage systems, rivers, or the ground. Once collected, used oil must be taken to the nearest hazardous waste collection point, where they are obligated to accept it free of charge.

If you have your oil or antifreeze changed at a service center, the service provider is legally obligated to properly dispose of the used oil and antifreeze generated from your engine. Whether it's an oil change service or a hazardous waste collection point, both are required to prominently display a notice to end-users (individuals) about the option to submit or collect used oils, marked with 'WE ACCEPT USED OIL.'
