Category manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

- operationally manages the process of category management of the agreed product group;
- monitors competition (assortment, prices) for comparative analysis of competition;
- takes an active part in concluding commercial contracts;
- cares for the constant assortment of goods in the distribution system and retail network, and for economical handling and inventory management;
- collects and processes offers for the improvement of sales projects and defines the procedure for their implementation;
- participates in defining sales plans;
- responsible for the continuity and stability of the assortment in the system;
- determines the assortment for retail establishments;
- confirms listing and selection of new products as well as elimination;
- defines the strategy, role and goals of the category for which he is in charge;
- prepares the annual plan of the budget, margins and extraordinary income for the category for which he is in charge, in accordance with the strategy and role of the category, market trends as well as strategic and financial plans of the sector and the company;
- coordinates and actively manages different sales channels within the company;
- actively develops relationships with key suppliers and participates in conducting negotiations with them;
- manages the complete process of assortment implementation (products, prices, promotion, place) in order to achieve profitability, competitiveness and inventory control;
- prepares reports on the achieved results of turnover, margin, extraordinary income and inventory on a monthly basis;
- takes care of the good business reputation of the Company in front of the suppliers it cooperates with,
- continuously monitors competition, market trends, market analysis;

Required knowledge and skills:

- minimum secondary vocational education - SSS, preference is given to candidates with completed VŠS or VSC (economic or social studies);
- at least 2 years of work experience in the same or similar jobs;
- knowledge of one foreign language (English preferred);
- computer skills;
- strong negotiation, analytical and presentation skills;
- organizational skills, precision, reliability and teamwork;
- willingness to assume responsibility;
- category B driver's license, active driver.
