Hifa Petrol's Ambassadors
Hifa Petrol launched a campaign "The Best with the Best" in 2015, with activities aimed at promoting and supporting young and prospective people in BiH. The long-term goal of this campaign is to retain talent in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the best evidence of this are the four top athletes who are Hifa Petrol's ambassadors - Amel Tuka, Mesud Pezer, Darko Savić, Nedžmin Ambešković i Lana Pudar
Amel Tuka is the 800m World Champion and the most successful athlete in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H). His disciplines are short and middle-distance run, and in these disciplines he's set two national and numerous European records. He was born on January 9, 1991 in Kakanj. He lives in the Italian city of Busolegno, and when he is not competing around the world, Amel spends his time with the family in his hometown.
Mesud Pezer is a B&H record holder in the shot put. On February 17, 2018, our best pitcher won the title of the Balkan’s Champion. Mesud is currently the 5th best in the world in this sport, and the 3rd in Europe. Since the beginning of 2018, he has broken the state record even three times. Pezer represented B&H at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
With 21.43m shot, Pezer broke the 33-year-old record of Zlatan Saračević, which was 21.11 m (1984).The Pezera record is one of the most valuable results in the history of B&H athletics, among which are the results of Amel Tuke at 800 m (1: 42.51) and Elvira Krehmić high jump (2.31 m).
Darko Savic is one of the most successful kayakers in the world. For 12 years Savic has been involved in this demanding sport. In 2018 he achieved top results, among which he stands 12th in the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona, he won the ECA Senior Cup, won third place in the Top 10 races in China, and first place in the downhill at the ICF race in Slovenia and is BiH's slalom champion. In the ICF World Championships he finished 12th in the downhill team race.
Darko Savic was named the best athlete in Republika Srpska in 2018.
Nedmin Ambešković is the third strongest man in the world. Ambeskovic, who has been professionally involved in deadlifting since 2016, has produced remarkable results for a short period. Nedzmin Ambeskovic is the first Bosnian to participate in the prestigious competition of the world's strongest men at the cult Wembley Arena in London's "Giants Live" where he won third place in the deadlift.
Some of the disciplines in which bh strongmen compete are lifting balls, which is the most popular discipline, then carrying a "suitcase", lifting a boulder overhead, "yoke", hauling trucks weighing 15-20 tons, trains and even planes.
Lana Pudar is on the ranking list of the best young European swimmers. She has been swimming for over nine years. Although they do not have an Olympic swimming pool in Mostar, that did not stop Lana from training hard and achieving fantastic results. Recently, at a rally in Zagreb with a 50-year old tradition, she broke the 11-year-old record, and in the finals she took the victory to much older and established swimmers from the region. Although young, Lana has already won over 500 medals, 40 trophies, and over 100 state records in several disciplines and categories.
At the twentieth selection of the best athletes in BiH, Lana was named the most promising young athlete in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2020.
